Bikram Yoga is a system of traditional hatha yoga postures that were sequenced by Bikram Choudhury. Bikram Yoga classes are 90 minutes long and practiced in a room heated to 105 degrees with 40 percent humidity. The class consists of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises.
How do I get started?
Arrive 20 minutes before class is scheduled to begin. An instructor will have you fill out a brief information sheet about yourself, then you are ready to take class.
What should I bring?
- Yoga mat
- Bath-sized towel
- Bottle of water
We have mat and towel rentals for your convenience; however, if you would like to save the extra money, bring your own.
Should I eat before class?
It is best to have something light to eat 3 hours before class. On the day you plan to attend class, drink a lot of water throughout the day so that you are adequately hydrated.
Is it ok for beginners?
Yes, every class is suitable for beginners, and students of all levels are welcome.
Can I practice pregnant?
