Mary Noble has been a practitioner of yoga since 1991. Since then, she has unrolled her yoga mat in 40 different countries including working or volunteering for extended periods in Mali, Egypt, India, and Thailand. Mary was on the opening staff of one of Cairo’s first yoga studios, The Breathing Room. Mary has been fortunate to have studied with great teachers from many different yoga lineages all over the globe, and has completed three teacher training programs: Vajra Yoga with Jill Satterfield at Rocky Mountain Shambhala Center (2002); with Ganga White and Tracy Rich at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA (2007); and with Melissa Cooley at Om Sweet Om in Talent, Oregon (2013).
Mary holds a Master’s Degree in education from the University of Michigan and has been teaching middle and high school humanities, health and world history for 20 years. She currently teaches world history to 150 7th graders everyday in Medford. Mary has introduced yoga into schools in Thailand, Egypt and Oregon.
Dharma: Mary draws inspiration from the teachings of Krishnamurti, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and Pema Chodron and the traditional Vedic and Yogic texts. Subtle body awareness and a trust in our ability to show up to all that life offers is a priceless benefit to a regular, consistent practice. Yoga uncovers the truth of who we already are.
