Nita Steketee is a certified 500 hr ECYT500 and 200hr ECYT200 teacher of Yoga and Meditation from Amsterdam, Holland. Nita started her yoga path with Javanese dance. Javanese dance movement is controlled, deliberate and at the same time serene composure is practiced which helps us to elevated our whole being Her teachings in Yoga are rooted in these deliberate movements and poses, the meditative serene quality is oriented toward self-understanding.
Nita teaches all levels of yoga from meditative/ restorative classes to the more advanced classic yoga classes. She is the founder of YogaYoga and before of YogaMonkey. She holds a master Degree in Fine Art and Design. Nita loves yoga, dance and meditation in all its forms an variations and shares in her classes the knowledge given to her by her teachers. She is thankful for all the different aspects of yoga they shared with her. Her dog Tara, or Little One, accompanies her in all classes.
Indira Abby Heijnen is a certified, 700 hr. teacher of Yoga, ECYT 200 Pranotthan Yoga, ECYT 200 Kripalu Yoga, ECYT 500 Sacred Lasya Vinyasa. She is currently continuing her trainings, participating in a year long study, "The Acharya Intensive" with Devarshi Steven Hartman and Jovinna Chan.
She teaches a meditative slow flow yoga from gentle to vigorous, emphasizing proper alignment and building core strength, as well as teaching posture alignment clinics and Yoga basics classes. Abby assists Pranotthan Yoga Teacher trainings around the country.
She is also a visual artist whose work is in collections in Europe and the U.S. She was born in New York City and has lived in Switzerland, Spain and The Netherlands, and has been living in Olivebridge, NY with her husband and artistic partner since 2001.
Yonah Schurink has a 500 hour Certification in Yoga and is also Certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer Yonah teaches classes in body sculpting, and Yoga in Health & Fitness Centers in the Hudson Valley, continuing to inspire and guide people towards enhanced health, vitality, and well-being. Inspired by the powerful effects of the bodymind connection, Yonah explores the capabilities of human potential through YOGA. She loves to take her students on a journey into the asanas in a gentle and joyful way, in celebration and gratitude for who we are in this form, at this level, in this moment. With fifteen years of experience in Iyengar, Kripalu, Jivamukti and Shivananda YOGA, she continues to deepen her knowledge and practice with ongoing interest in the Vinyasa style of YOGA.
Expanding upon a twenty-year career as a modern dancer and choreographer, Yonah followed her passion into the visual arts and a career as a professional photographer and painter. From a deepening interest in metaphysical nature, bioenergetics, and transformational experience, she entered the healing arts and the study of energy medicine, to complete certifications in Polarity and CranioSacral Therapy, Reflexology, and Reiki. In private practice for more than fifteen years.
