Louie Carder, PT, MSPT, Director: Louie graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2006 with his Masters degree in Physical Therapy. He spent time working as a physical therapist in Mississippi, Tennessee and Washington before settling in Colorado. Louie specializes in orthopedic injuries and sports medicine. Being trained in multiple manual therapy techniques, he utilizes High Velocity Low Amplitude thrust techniques, The McKenzie Method, The Maitland Approach, and The Mulligan Concept for hands-on approach to patient treatment. He is working towards his functional dry needling certification and has finished all kinesiotaping courses. |
Lucy Morgan, PT, Assistant Director: Lucy was born and grew up in Australia. She received her degree from Cumberland College of Health Sciences in Sydney. After graduating, Lucy gained a wide range of experience working in Australia, England and Switzerland. Prior to moving to the United Sates, she had a private practice in North Queensland, Australia where she specialized in orthopedics and sports medicine. Lucy moved to Aspen for the winter in 1990, and she has been the assistant director of Physical Therapy since 1993. She continues to specialize in orthopedics and sport physical therapy, as well as providing hydrotherapy and ergonomic assessments for Aspen Valley Hospital. |
Jaclynn Derosier, PT, (Snowmass Club PT Manager): Jaclynn received her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked for Aspen Valley Hospital since 1982 and offers physical therapy services at the Snowmass Club in Snowmass Village. Her specialties include orthopedics, manual therapy, osteoporosis, craniosacral mobilization and pilates/yoga based rehabilitation. She is also a NSCA certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, water fitness instructor and is certified in the Polestar pilates-based rehabilitation method. |
Suzanne Scheer, PT, (Snowmass Club PT): Suzanne attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, graduating in 1985 with a backelor's degree in Economics/Italian. After a two year hiatus in the Rocky Mountains, she returned to CU to pursue a course of study in Physical Therapy. She finished her graduate studies at the Sargent School of Allied Health, Boston University in 1991.

Lisa Pranno, PT, DPT, GCS Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Lisa received her Degree in Physical Therapy at McGill University in 1996. She moved to the US in 1997 and has worked with various patient populations in hospital and clinic settings. She moved to Aspen in 2007 and has been working consistently for AVH Physical Therapy at its various locations. A member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2001, Lisa is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy. She completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 at Arcadia University. She currently works with the hospital's inpatient population, facilitating mobility, strength, and safe discharge home for persons with medical, neurological, or orthopedic conditions. |
Timothy McCall, PT, DPT, (Downtown PT): Timothy received his master's and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. He also holds dual bachelor's degrees in Education and Health Science. Timothy has been practicing as a licensed physical therapist for almost 20 years. In that time, he has worked with a wide variety of patient populations including neurologic (spinal cord rehabilitation/closed head injury), burn/wound care, sports medicine and orthopedics. His current area of focus is sports medicine and orthopedics. He is certified in TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction), vestibular rehabilitation (Vertigo/BPPV) and in FDN (Functional Dry Needling). He is also a certified Yoga Instructor who has been working with students in Aspen for 10 years. Timothy believes in a comprehensive and holistic approach to health care, including prevention and post rehabilitative follow up maintenance. |
Katie McManus, PT, MSPT: Katie has been a licensed physical therapist since 1998 and specializes in treating patients with orthopedic disorders. She is a native of Aspen, graduated from Aspen High School and received her B.S. at Boston College and her master's of Physical Therapy at Touro College in New York. Her focuses include total joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, fractures, general orthopedics and manual therapy which she has studied through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Katie is certified in TRX training which she enjoys incorporating into her treatments. |
Amy Bumgarner, PT, MSPT: Amy has been a licensed physical therapist since 2003. She is a native of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, received her B.S. at Roanoke College in Salem, VA and her master's of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN. Throughout her career, Amy has practiced in acute care, acute inpatient rehab and outpatient settings, in both rural and urban settings. Most recently, Amy served as an assistant professor and clinical coordinator for the Jefferson College of Health Sciences Physical Therapist Assistant Program in Roanoke, Virginia. Amy has special clinical interest in neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury, as well as general orthopedic conditions. Her goal is to treat her patients with balanced and personalized programs, using a variety of techniques to maximize independence in return to work, recreation, and daily activities. |
Katie Powell, PT, DPT: Katie is originally from Rhode Island and graduated with both her undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Boston University. She has been a licensed physical therapist since 2008 and is a certified upper extremity lymphedema therapist. Katie has previously worked as an inpatient therapist at a level one trauma center in Boston where she had experience treating patients with a wide range of complex medical, neurological and orthopedic diagnoses. She has also worked at a pediatric burn hospital and continues to enjoy working with our pediatric population in Aspen. |
Stephanie Ryan, PT, DPT: Stephanie holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and graduated from Franklin Pierce University earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009. A member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Stephanie specializes in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, ergonomics and functional rehabilitation. She has attended multiple continuing education courses on Muscle Energy Techniques, advancements in taping techniques and she is certified in Functional Dry Needling. |
