Marisa (Atula) was always intrigued by yoga, but for years was too intimated to try it out. When a quaint studio in her hometown offered a special beginner’s series, she finally decided to give it a chance…and it was one of the most beneficial decisions she has ever made.
Her initial curiosity grew into a deep desire to expand her knowledge. She completed her 200 hour certification through CorePower Yoga in 2013. In 2014 she ventured to India, earning her 300 hour certification at the Anand Prakash Ashram under the guidance of Yogrishi Vishvketu. She is also a Holistic Health Coach, certified through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Marisa is drawn to and continuously inspired by the balance of power and grace found in yoga. It has become her daily renewal, exercise base, therapy session, and continual support in self-care. She hopes to make yoga accessible and just as beneficial to everyone in her classes. For yoga & wellness bits from Marisa: @yogi_bug
